A very healthy and nutritious dosa. With its high fiber and nutrient content it offers a number of health benefits.


Green Gram dal                                1 cup

Salt to taste

Ginger                                                1 small piece

Garlic                                                 3 -4 cloves

Green chilly                                      1 no.

Jeera powder                                   2 pinch



Step 1   I soaked the daal over night but if you are in a hurry then soaking it for minimum 2 hours will do.


Step 2   Grind the daal along with ginger, garlic, green chilly, jeera and salt and make a smooth paste. You                     can use a little water to grind it.

Step 3   Take half onion and dip it in oil and with its help grease the dosa pan. Pour the batter  and in a                         circular movement spread it to form dosa. Once done on 1 side flip it on other side carefully.

Serve hot with coconut chutney, tomato chutney or simple mayonnaise will make it taste yummy.
