High sugar intake can lead to heart diseases.  In that case should we totally ignore sugar and the food that has high sugar content, I will say no it is not required when we can replace sugar with more heather sweatners like jaggery and honey.

Jaggery has many health benefits. It has the ability to cleanse your body, act as a digestive agent, sweeten your food in a healthy manner, and provide good amounts of minerals. Unlike Sugar Jaggery provide its eaters with warmth and energy without harming their internal organs.

So today we are going to make a very healthy sugar free cake. Let’s get started.



Whole wheat flour             1 cup

Jaggery                                 1.5 cup

Baking powder                   1 tsp

Baking Soda                        1 tsp

Butter                                   60 ml or ¼ cup

Milk                                       ½ cup

Lime                                      ½ tsp

Salt a pinch

Eggs                                       4

Vanilla essence                    1 tsp

Coco powder                       2 tbsp



Grease the cake tin and keep it aside and sieve all dry ingredients together and keep aside.

Step 1     Take 4 egg whites and with the help of an electric whisker whisk well. Add lime juice and whip till                    stiff peaks appear as shown in the image below.



Step 2    Whisk egg yolks with vanilla essence and add sugar little by little and keep whisking till it turns off                  white color.

Step 3     Now in the egg yolk mixture add dry ingredients little by little. Mix with the help of a spatula using                  cut and fold method. Simultaneously add butter and milk to it in parts.

Step 4     Add whipped egg white in parts to it using same cut and fold method.


Step 5    Take baking tin and pour the batter. Set the microwave for 50 minutes .Once the cake is baked give                 it a good rest of 20 minutes to cool down.


You can serve it with tea as evening snack or even add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and Enjoy.
